update from the girls

Jared and I are on vacation this week in Florida with his family....so I'll let the girls do the work this week with updating on how they're doing :) ...

Ciara: School is over and I'm officially on summer break! I'm so glad that summer vacation is here. I'm so sick of putting on my now skin-tight uniform every day! I lost my two bottom teeth and can't wait for my new teeth to come in. I can count to 10 all by myself and I'm starting to know my colors, too. My mommy and papi speak a weird language to each other everyday, but I am starting to understand some of the things that they say. I know that 'I love you' means 'm renmen ou,' so now I say that to everyone instead. Even sometimes to strangers or merchants on the streets after we buy something from them. But don't get me wrong, I still like to be the ornery one of the bunch. Someone has to keep things happening around here!
Rosiany: I love to play soccer, and practice school work. I can almost count to ten by myself! It's so hot here, I sweat all the time. Sometimes it drenches my entire pillow and clothes just in one nap. I hate to wear pants that go past my knees. It drives me so crazy that I will roll them up if they aren't short enough. I love to pretend that I'm a cook with Ciara and Mariline. We make yummy food everyday with flowers and grass.
Mariline: It's hard for me to run as fast as my sisters do, but I love to be outside with them. I am totally potty-trained and get to wear big-girl undies. I love them. I think they are so pretty on me. I like to make funny facial expressions that make others laugh. I learned how to blow bubbles and am getting really good at it! I ask to play with them all the time.
Dalindia: My favorite thing to do is swing on our swing set. It's my favorite place to take a nap, too. Everyone keeps asking me to start talking, but I think I'm going to keep them waiting. Sometimes I say words back to them, but whisper it so that they don't hear me! I had 6 teeth come in in just over a month...now I can eat really fast :) I like to check on my baby brother in mom's tummy every morning. He's doing good so far. I don't like nap time very much. I'd rather stand up in my crib and blab with Genese!
Genese: I decided that I would start talking now that Rosiany and Mariline are here and talk all the time. My favorite word to say is 'krapo' (frog) and papi. I love yelling Papi's name. I probably say it at least a 100 times a day, but I don't think anyone minds. I am getting so strong and can climb up the ladder and slide down our swing-set all by myself! That's all I want to do is be outside playing. Oh, and I hate getting my hair done every Saturday, just like Ciara. I'd rather be running around the yard.
Kiara: I love it that I am starting to crawl now !! I love to crawl off of the mat when we play outside and eat grass. It's almost better than all the baby food that I've been eating. But, my favorite food is bananas. I smile and giggle all the time. I can also roll myself anywhere. I'm one talented 6 month old :)

  4. You did a GREAT JOB on this post as you are in raising these beautiful girls. They are adorable. Their faces project a brilliant radiance which brings to mind Hebrews 1:3:"who being the effulgence of his glory, and the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had made purification of sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;"
Very touching! You are all in our hearts and prayers.
